Did you hear? Some counties in Pennsylvania are doing away with the fair hearing by phone! Yes, you heard that right. Counties in southeast Pennsylvania have been notifying us that the stipulated agreement will be prepared and typed up in the County Assistance Office, and then emailed to the client for agreement.
This is an interesting change to the standard process of having issues hashed out and discussed by phone, prior to entering a stipulated agreement. Have you had a similar situation? What are your thoughts and experiences? BOM’s out there – is this a positive time saver, or a negative in the standard fair hearing process. What’s your view?
